Branding / Logo
Did you know we designed the logo for the Center for the Arts at Miami Day Country School?
After exploring some initial design concepts we created a unique typeface and some bright design icons that are based on a loose idea of building blocks. Using a triangle at the core, the logo also reflects triangular shape of the building’s design - merging both brand and shape.
The CFA opened this year in late April after five years in development. The project broke ground in January of 2015 and in October 2016 was celebrated with a Topping Off ceremony. In May, the Center for the Arts opened to the public with an inaugural celebration that included several performances and a speech by Dr. John Davies, the head of the school.
The Center for the Arts was built as a space for students and teachers to further develop their skills, including critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, creativity, initiative and leadership. The building includes a 650-seat auditorium, exhibit spaces, a dance studio, ceramics studio and much, much more.
Miami Country Day School, is a private, non-denominational, college preparatory school located near Miami Shores. Named a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, Miami Country Day School is committed to educating through the core values of honor, respect, wisdom and compassion.
Though we haven’t attended (we’re well past school age) we loved contributing to the CFA and seeing the program come to life.
