The Town of Palm Beach is unveiling a completely redesigned and upgraded Marina in the fall of 2021, a state-of-the-art facility that can accommodate superyachts and more. They needed a whole new look and approach to brand them as the only public marina on the island, leaning on the established upscale Palm Beach identity, with a fresh, forward-facing approach. They wanted a one-stop shop that could create a new website design and run all their marketing campaigns, and handle the Marina PR.
Jacober Creative was awarded a three-year contract in a competitive open bid process to handle all the branding, design and marketing needs for the Town of Palm Beach Marina. The logo we created leaned on the sophisticated, incorporating both the P.B. initials, and the suggestion of an anchor for a nautical feel. It fuses custom typography with a visual icon, and a modern-retro look, done in an All-American blue and red that resonates with the Palm Beach community. It works great on all kinds of collateral, from clothing to business cards, signage to marketing. Throughout we used the tagline we wrote, "The Only Superyacht Marina In Palm Beach," encapsulating the "coveted" nature of the slips at the new facility.
We directed our own photo and video shoots, drawing on the same upscale, waterside feel, with models on two iconic superyachts, "The Lady Katherine" and "The Sea Tabby." Other settings included the famous Palm Beach Par 3 golf course, and in luscious building interiors such as The Colony Hotel and world-famous Worth Avenue exteriors. Colorful hand-drawn illustrations were created as a complement to the main brand logo. A brand new website for the Marina that we designed is about to launch, that is unique in its approach to style and usability, unlike on the market. We will manage a social campaign throughout the duration of the three-year contract, all incorporating our design assets. We also are creating a full range of advertisements and preparing to place them in local, national and international outlets, with the campaign title of "Anchored in the Heart of Palm Beach." As the Town of Palm Beach Marina reopening date approaches, we will be driving the public relations push through targeted press coverage.
