June is the world-wide commemoration of the
historic Stonewall Riots (
gotta be starting something), a turning point in LGBTQ+ history. In the early hours of June 28th, 1969, defiant patrons of a gay bar in New York's Greenwich Village fiercely resisted a police raid (led by a bevy of
fierce drag queens). This pivotal event ignited the flame of the modern LGBTQ+ liberation movement.

West Hollywood for their huge parade on June 9th, slide on over to
Madrid for their June 23rd festival and events, and still have time to make it to
London for their Pride celebration on June 30th. And of course, there’s the Big Mama of them all,
NYC’s LGBT Pride March (they held the very first one in 1970), on June 25th. Think locally, travel globally, and … sashay away!
