Hu-La-La!
The iconic,
Marriot-owned Mauna Kea Beach Hotel on the Big Island of Hawai’i hired us to submit concepts for a brand refresh that would coincide with major renovations and reposition this luxury property for newer, Millennial guests.
Our creativity flowed like hot lava as we came up with outside-the-box marketing concepts – yes
Hu-La-La was one of these – as well as updated design approaches to the hotel’s logo and assets. Jacober Creative gave our full A.L.O.H.A approach – Adventure, Luxury,
Ohana, Hospitality & Amazing.
Our Scientific Method
What makes the universe tick? The young minds that the
Summer Science Program nurtures with their forward-thinking educational opportunities want to know! Jacober Creative was brought in by SSP to infuse
a contemporary, welcoming look to their branding, that would inspire and speak to their range of stakeholders. We came up with a
stylized, atomic light bulb concept and assets for their newly launched parent “international” group, a refresh for their existing summer program logo, and lots of great ideas for marketing campaigns and assets. When the next generation’s Einstein emerges, we will have played our part.
Palm Beachers Wear It Well
Palm Beach isn't just a location, it's a lifestyle, a symbol of refined living, full of fashion statements, fashion plates, and fashionable stores and locations. So we helped the
Town of Palm Beach Marina itself enter the fashion fray with its own line of
uniquely designed apparel and accessories we created, and a
Shopify online store. Everything features the Marina logo we designed, with its anchor and rope iconography, and a campaign-style border that
pays homage to Palm Beach's nautical traditions. The Marina now has a collection of clothing and accessories that is curated to embody the essence of the Town as an upscale oasis for those in the know.
Is There Any More Room On Our Awards Shelf?
We’re not admitting to be addicted to awards (but we are) – let’s just say our trophy shelf is feeling a little crowded right now. We scored big this year with not one, not two, but
four shiny new MarCom Awards, a prestigious international competition recognizing the best achievements in the marketing and communication fields,
beating out over 6,000 other entries. The MarCom competition is administered and judged by the
Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, which has been setting standards of excellence in the industry for years. Hiring Miami design agency Jacober Creative means more than great marketing – it means award-winning ideas that make a brand impossible to ignore.
Digging the Gold
We snagged our first Gold MarCom Award for our
It’s Our World, Explore It! marketing campaign for Miami’s
Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science. The museum wanted a fresh approach, and
our original tagline encompasses both the ideas of inclusivity, of Frost Science as being a gateway to the (natural) world, and as a place where you can come explore it.
Designs referenced all aspects of the museum, as well the circular “orbit” used in existing brand assets, and were carried though in original photography and video productions.
Our second Gold was for our
Bite Into Wynwood marketing campaign, for ongoing client the
Wynwood Business Improvement District. The goal was to promote neighborhood restaurants participating in this summer’s
Miami Spice program, a Greater Miami Visitor & Convention Bureau annual promotion that provides prix fixe menus at discounted prices. To brand Wynwood as a
“foodie destination” Jacober Creative gave the campaign its cheeky name and created an illustrative design that playfully invokes a woman eating pasta whose streaming spaghetti morph into a stylized and typographic version of the campaign name.
Platinum Power
Those awards piled up with a Platinum MarCom for our overall brand identity work for
Locust Projects, Miami’s premier arts incubator. They sought to
revitalize the brand identity to reflect their dynamic approach to arts leadership and inclusion. Jacober Creative’s focal point of the new logo design was a stylized, fluid "LP" icon, symbolizing the organization's dynamic and alternative approach to art. This design work was carried through in all the organization’s assets and collateral, as well as their annual Monte Carlos-themed fundraiser.
And close to our heart was a second Platinum for our own
Posh In Paris initiative. This past summer, with the savoir-faire we are known for (we didn’t say modesty!), we launched our own line of apparel and accessories in honor of the City of Light, and the
Summer Olympics. Whimsical and celebratory, the designs blended chiseled shapes, insouciant cultural references, and a dash of French panache, to celebrate the Games. This project was part of our company’s
ongoing “self-generated” design challenges that allows its team to stretch beyond the boundaries of traditional, commercial work
We Know Yachts
We continued our work this year for our newest maritime client
Integra Marina, which runs world-class facilities around the country, with a special focus on Florida. We developed a first-time logo for their developing brand – a striking and welcoming logo that graphically pays homage to the sun, surf and sky. And more recently, we created a new logo for the larger investment company, Integra, that brings the mid-century style of their Marina logo to the whole company. Anchors away!
Amor, There’s More
Of course, this all barely scratches the surface on what we busy bees at Jacober Creative have been up to for 2024.
And we don’t just mean worrying about the state of the world, which we all do plenty of! We designed a large report for
The Children’s Trust, did a brand refresh for
Hillary Littlejohn interior designers, and a new logo for the
Town of Palm Beach Mandel Recreation Center. And we had fun with lots of our own creative projects which can be seen on our Jacober Creative Instagram page.
