A Badge That Drips With Personality
The heart of this campaign lies in our illustrated badge design. Our branding agency in Miami Beach combined several elements synonymous with Wynwood’s cultural vibrancy and its urban canvas:

Paint Drips – Wynwood Miami is world-renowned for its graffiti-covered walls, where vibrant murals spill over with color and creativity. Our badge incorporates playful paint drips that symbolize the neighborhood’s free-flowing artistry, nodding to the graffiti culture without being literal.

Tacos With Human Characteristics – Bringing the taco to life was essential in making the campaign fun and engaging. We illustrated the taco as a character with hipster traits, an effortlessly cool sunshine smile, innocent but engaging eyes, and even a little friendly personality to welcome the local crowd’s eclectic vibe.

Hot Sun & Miami Sunset Colors – Nothing says Miami quite like a vivid, warm sunset. The color palette of the badge reflects Miami’s signature hues, from deep oranges to tropical pinks and golden yellows. It’s an instant connection to the location and serves as an iconic backdrop for the playful taco character.
Together, these design elements created an eye-catching badge that locals would instantly recognize and visitors would want to share on their feeds.
"Tag Your Taco" — The Tagline That Sticks
Our campaign’s tagline,
"Tag Your Taco," wasn’t just about tacos. It was a clever fusion of Wynwood’s graffiti scene (tagging walls) and the digital world (tagging on social media). This pun naturally aligned with Wynwood’s identity as the epicenter of street art and brought the event into the digital era with Instagram-friendly, user-generated content.
The alliteration of "Tag Your Taco" makes it catchy and easy to remember, which is critical in building brand retention. It seamlessly linked Wynwood’s physical art culture with the virtual world of social media, making it the perfect slogan for an event that encourages both interaction and celebration.
Supporting The Event With Strategic Marketing For Wynwood Arts District
To ensure the success of the National Taco Day initiative, we implemented a multi-faceted marketing strategy across various platforms:
Paid Print Advertising: We designed colorful, bold ads for local publications that feature the taco character and badge. These ads appeared in magazines and tourist guides, positioning the event as a must-attend experience in Miami.
Digital Campaigns: Across social media, we deployed targeted ads that mirrored the print campaign’s visual style. The goal was to engage both locals and visitors, encouraging them to share their own “tagged tacos” using the custom hashtag, spreading the word online.
Street-Level Marketing: In true Wynwood fashion, we brought the campaign to the streets. We secured placements on bus shelters, posters, and digital kiosks with our playful design. Each one featured a scannable QR code leading directly to the event’s website, making it easy for people to get involved.
With these elements in place, Wynwood’s National Taco Day became not just an event, but an interactive experience that blended food, art, and culture in a way only Miami can.
