Visit Florida, the main marketing arm for the State, announced the recipients of the 2024 Florida Tourism Hall of Fame and Flagler Awards on August 30, during the Florida Governor’s Conference on Tourism at the Tampa Convention Center. Each year, leaders in the marketing of Florida tourism are chosen by selection committees to receive the awards.
“We do it all for the love of design, but let’s be honest—it’s pretty great to see our clients shine because of our work,”
said Paul Jacober, owner and Creative Director of Jacober Creative. “We put in the hours to spotlight them in a way that’s unique, creative, yet commercially sharp and always on-brand, so getting recognized? That’s just the perfect finishing touch.”
The Flagler Awards, named in honor of Henry Flagler, were established in 2000 to celebrate exceptional tourism marketing efforts within the State of Florida. The awards recognize individuals, private businesses, and non-profit organizations that contribute to maintaining and enhancing Florida’s status as one of the world’s leading travel destinations. The awards highlight the innovative and creative campaigns that draw visitors to the Sunshine State each year.

The #IYKYK (If You Know, You Know) marketing campaign was created to market the Town of Palm Beach Marina to potential renters of slips. The target audience is owners of a range of sizes of yachts and marine vessels, both seasonal and transient users.
The marketing objective was to increase overall percentage of rented Marina slips, which includes a combination of transient visitors, seasonal visitors and some local residents. In addition, increasing brand awareness and brand profile has been another primary goal, part and parcel of destination marketing.
This is the first time the Town of Palm Beach has worked with an outside agency in this capacity.
The island of Palm Beach, renowned for its mansions, beautiful beaches and small-town charisma, has always been
a place of exclusivity and allure for those in the know. And its state-of-the-art, ever-popular Marina is a key part of the Town’s fizzy appeal. This upscale and renovated superyacht facility has been
a client of Jacober Creative for three years. We managed an award-winning (
which received three Neptune Marina Marketing Awards) and a successful rebranding and marketing campaign – “Anchored in the Heart of Palm Beach – when it reopened in December of 2021 after a $40 million upgrade and expansion.
