Paris held a shimmering 2024 Summer Olympics, full of athletic prowess, and we at Jacober Creative wanted to dive headfirst into the festivities. Our mandate was to pay tribute to the City of Light, and the competitors who make the Games what they are. It’s a new spin on a theme that we have mined before, with our Round In Rio project that paid tribute to the 2016 Summer Games in Brazil.
We created whimsical and celebratory designs – called Posh In Paris - that take on the iconic event, blending chiseled shapes, insouciant cultural references, and a dash of French panache, to toast the Olympics. It’s a reimagining of the iconography, turning traditional symbols into striking designs that capture the energy and excitement of the Games. Mixing a dose of Jacober Creative’s trademark Miami style with the je ne sais quoi that only Paris has, we came up with illustrations that are refined and cool, but always clever.
Posh In Paris focuses on the Olympic athletes themselves – from the grace of gymnastics to the pumping speed of cycling. Since the 2024 Games showcased a group of sports that that are more diverse than ever, including the addition of breakdancing and the return of surfing, the illustrations reimagine the Olympics with a fresh, contemporary take and a soupcon of French flavor.
Our dynamic designs feature six vivid colors: blueish purple, magenta, sky blue, red, yellow, and black. These head turning hues breathe new life into the classic sports motifs, while gridded circular shapes, sharp cuts, and graphic geometric compositions create a visually rich experience — you can almost sink your teeth into. Our matching typographic nameplate, "Posh in Paris," is deconstructed chic, with custom overlapping letters and shapes that include references to the Paris skyline's most iconic structural silhouette. The design details encompass fleur-de-lis tatted wrestlers, Chanel-branded surfers, Louboutin wearing Javelin throwers, red wine-sipping rowers and Gaultier inspired stripes.
Social media posts utilizing the designs were added daily to the Jacober Creative plattorms. And, with the savoir faire we are known for, we also launched our own line of apparel and accessories, including T-shirts, hoodies, hats, tote bags, posters and more, featuring the sophisticated, but lighthearted and humorous, images – all for purchase on our LifeIsHowYouDesignIt.com shopping portal. Let the Games begin!
