Branding / Logo Design / Website
WellAway is a growing private medical insurance company with health and lifestyle products for the modern global expat. “Keeping You Well, While You’re Away” is their tagline, and they wanted to refresh their brand with a new brand identity and website. They needed a contemporary feel that communicated their key values of excellence, dependability and positivity in a welcoming way. One unique aspect of their brand that needed to be addressed was that their target demographic includes citizens of diverse countries with a range of cultures and languages.
We created a modern looking logo with a custom sans serif font with playful use of the capital letter A in the WellAway name. We gave the brand a sunny disposition (literally) with a stylized yellow sun icon. The logo worked with or without their tagline included, and in different layouts. Two we especially liked are the tagline wrapped around the sun, and a playful merging of the capital W and the A inside the sun, without any other words.
Because it’s an international brand, we knew that their brand communication needed to transcend translation, hence the custom illustrations that you’ll find guiding you through all the WellAway marketing collateral and web experience. The hand-drawn illustrations evoke a sense of glamour while lending an air of conviviality to the insurance company.
The next phase of the WellAway project included a full web redesign to further the new brand identity and direction. The custom illustrations are meant to guide users on their path of researching, selecting, and purchasing their WellAway plans in a seamless and intuitive interface. Attention was also placed on strategic calls to action throughout to facilitate the purchase process for the user without being overtly “salesy.” To further ease the purchase process, a custom quote engine was designed and programmed, which lead to a member portal once the purchase was completed — ensuring a seamless end-to-end experience.
