It’s A Big World
It’s a Big World. We’re Building it – the tagline that we came up with for our client Plaza Construction – showcases their innovative spirit steeped in their decades of experience in the industry. They looked to Jacober Creative to help craft a new brand identity that truly reflected the company’s industry-leading position and goals. The company’s signs are everywhere in our own home base of Miami Beach, and seeing the new tagline and logo design on them has made our (collective) hearts burst with pride! Plaza’s new brand identity comes to life through a new website and video campaign, and will now be seen across the globe. Who knew tool belts and jackhammers could rock our design world?
Case Study
Say It, Spray It, Play It
Our passion for great visuals is almost equal to our passion for music, and that’s why we were thrilled to help the recently opened
Wynwood School of Music enhance its brand personality with a newly designed logo. What we came up with incorporates the feel of the neighborhood’s world-famous graffiti. And the double-oh in both the words Wynwood and School gives a shout-out to vinyl records (or even boomboxes). At Jacober Creative, we specialize in symbolism that never skips a
design beat.

Map It!
The Jills-Zeder Group (you probably know them from their previous incarnation and their ubiquitous sales signs for “The Jills”) is one of Miami’s premier real estate companies, repping some of the area’s most prestigious properties. They wanted us to create a cool, chic and fun map of Miami-Dade County as part of their Art Basel marketing collateral that would include landmarks and iconic locations. Our hand-drawn take on Miami’s tropical urban paradise includes some of our perennial faves – from down south’s Fairchild botanical gardens to Miami’s most upscale “mall” Bal Harbour Shops, from the classic Biltmore Hotel out west to our very own neighbor the Faena Forum. Ladies with an attitude – let’s buy Miami real estate – we’re in the mood.
Winning the Bid
We continued to expand our work with some of South Florida’s best destinations and places to live by submitting the winning bid for the rebranding of the City of Sunny Isles Beach. Our work has just begun so
shhhh… we won’t tell you too much yet, but we’re
tres excited to be giving this already glam gem of beachfront magic our Jacober Creative spin.
Hide Your Veggies, Find Your Bliss
Peekaboo, a new Miami-based startup that marries healthy eating with delicious desserts (ice cream with “hidden veggies”)
came to Jacober Creative for all their marketing needs. We tried it, we liked it, we spiked it! Then we created photoshoots, collateral, new taglines and new vision and mission statements, pitch decks, press releases and more.
Wait…time for another ice cream break. Oh yeah, we’ve also been handling their social media and overseeing their public relations team getting them great coverage on the the
Today Show, as well as local coverage in Miami on
Deco Drive. The new brand identity and language we developed for Peekaboo Ice Cream has helped the company expand into more than 2500 stores in the last year (and into our freezers!).
Uno Dos…Cha Cha Cha
With its
clave beat and its Cuban heat, we love the
cafecitios, and dominos played by los
viejitos. So what did we do? We did one of our favorite things, made a nifty Little Havana listicle, created some rocking Latin-infused designs, and had a
rico y sabroso party to celebrate it all at Michelle Bernstein’s newest neighborhood venture, Café La Trova. Mambo anyone?

Surf’s Up
Oh Town of Surfside, one of our ongoing, favorite clients, how did we love you in 2019? Let us count the ways. First we created the
Bootcamp & Brews events for you. We kicked off 2019 with this social fitness activity to get everyone’s rears in gear, combining the best of the Town’s fitness focus with some post-workout beer sampling. Then we produced a new video for the current
Something for Everyone Town of Surfside campaign, which had the goal of creatively capturing the authentic experiences and people that help make Surfside a unique and attractive place to visit. Finally, we created a children’s coloring book,
The Adventures of Surfy the Surfside Sea Turtle, to showcase the town’s environmental commitments. And slam-bam-honor-us-again, our work with Surfside garnered an amazing seventh
Visit Florida Flagler Award recognizing our
work.
Botox Rocks
Botox, a beauty and age-defying treatment that is close to our hearts (and our faces) here at Jacober Creative is the featured treatment at the fast-casual beauty chain that came to us this year for a new standout name and logo. We came up with BLUR Botox Bar, a kick-ass design with undulating lines fading away (just the way we like them to be), and the concept has taken off. Forever young, and wrinkle-free!
Don’t Bungle the Jungle
What do you give one of your favorite and most important staff members, Director of Marketing and Brand Stategist Luisa Jimenez, as a baby shower gift, when you're a design studio like Jacober Creative? A one-of-a-kind beautiful, bilingual children’s book, of course, that we wrote and designed ourselves!
Joaquin’s Jungle Journey tells a simple but elegant story, in rhyme (hat tip to Dr. Seuss), about young Joaquin’s trip through the jungle, and all the animals he encounters there (with a little counting lesson thrown in too). It’s a visual feast of flying, ferocious and furry creatures designed to capture a child’s imagination.

Razzle Dazzle Basel
One of our fave South Florida mega-events, Art Basel a.k.a Miami Art Week, needed our special touch with a guide this year. So we asked a dirty dozen of some leading-edge influential tastemakers for their insights, perspectives, and plans of attack on how to navigate the Basel madness. From magazine founders to gallery directors, from working artists to individual collectors, they gave everyone the scoop – like Sarah Harrelson, Mario Cader-Frech and Eric Newill . The Artpocalypse arrived, and we all survived.

Demanding Branding
Branding is our bread and butter (and sometimes our main course), and three of our clients’ rebranding projects stand out this year. Dallas-based interior designer Hillary Little John wanted a rebrand from a more ornate slightly shabby chic logo to something bolder, yet simple and classic. Using a traditional Futura light typeface, and a carefully curated placement of words, we made something edgy and different. For the Miami-based Doughees cookies and sweets company, they wanted branding that was an embodiment of founder Margo Wolfe’s personality – a little rap music with a Quentin Tarantino flair. The logo we created has retro colors inspired by Florida sunsets, a plump typeface often used in hip hip graphics, and the feel of gooey cookie dough. Miami Beach Bum is skin care treatment for well, your
derriere, designed for your post-sand, post-pool, post-too much time in the sun and that bikini. The logo we created for them is a modern take on classic neon signage that says warm, chic, endless summer and –
bootylicious.
